How do you monitor and assess a patient’s comfort as they undergo diagnostic imaging?

This question aims to assess how you interact and communicate with patients. Try to form an answer that shows both your technical knowledge and empathy.

Example: “I check in continually with my patient while they undergo diagnostic imagery, such as by asking how theyre feeling or if I can do anything to make the process easier for them. I also pay attention to a patients body language. For example, if a patient says theyre fine but has a tense pose, I might offer to play soothing music or dim the lights.”

Example: “By itself, an ultrasound cannot determine if a growth inside a patients body is cancerous. However, ultrasounds can be a great diagnostic tool for some cancers. You can use an ultrasound to detect unusual growths or if the shape has altered over time. This, coupled with other aspects of a patients medical history and diagnostic tools, can determine if a growth is cancerous.”
