Getting an interview at Incedo is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing IT consulting firm. But like with any interview you’ll need to put in the work to prepare if you want to land the job.

In this article I’ll share some of the most commonly asked Incedo interview questions based on my own experience and research. I’ll also provide tips to help you craft winning answers.

Why Do You Want to Work at Incedo?

This is likely to be one of the first questions in your Incedo interview. Interviewers want to gauge your interest in the company and the role.

Some good ways to respond include:

  • Highlighting aspects of the company culture or work that appeals to you. For example, you may appreciate the startup-like environment or the emphasis on innovation.

  • Mentioning specific projects or tech stacks you’d be excited to work on. This shows you’ve researched the company.

  • Discussing how the job aligns with your career goals and ambitions. Make your passion clear.

  • Avoid generic answers like “you seem like a great company” or “the work is interesting.” Make your response personal.

Why Should We Hire You?

This question tests your ability to pitch yourself and stand out. Structure your answer using the STAR method:

Situation: Set the context by describing a relevant experience or project.

Task: Explain the task or challenge involved.

Action: Share what specific steps you took to address it.

Result: Describe the positive outcome or impact of your actions.

Emphasize skills that align with Incedo’s needs, like technical expertise, communication abilities, or being a fast learner. Use real examples over hypotheticals.

What Are Your Strengths and Weaknesses?

Another common question, focus on strengths relevant to the role for the first part. When discussing weaknesses, choose non-critical ones and show how you’re taking steps to improve.

For example:

“I’m very results-oriented – I keep driving toward solutions even when projects face roadblocks. But this means I can sometimes rush processes when taking a step-by-step approach would be better. I’ve been improving here by…”

Tell Me About a Time You Faced a Challenge and How You Handled It

Behavioral questions like this draw out your problem-solving abilities. Pick an example that highlights analytical thinking, teamwork, perseverance, or other skills the role requires.

Describe the situation briefly, the challenge that arose, the actions you took, and the positive result. Emphasize what you specifically contributed vs just being part of a team effort.

What Are You Most Proud of Professionally?

Share an accomplishment, award, or project you feel genuinely proud of. Avoid just listing responsibilities. Describe why this moment stood out for you and how it showcases qualities that would make you excel in this role.

If it reflects the company’s values like innovation or collaboration, even better. Just make sure your pride comes across as motivated and humble vs arrogant.

How Do You Prioritize Tasks When Everything Is Important?

Time management and organization will be key in this fast-paced job. Your answer should demonstrate logical systems for prioritizing, such as:

  • Making to-do lists and dividing tasks into categories like important/urgent, unimportant, etc.

  • Working on highest priority items or deadlines first.

  • Knowing when to delegate lesser items to free up your schedule.

  • Seeking input from your manager or team when you’re unsure about conflicting priorities.

Where Do You See Yourself in 5 Years?

Interviewers want to gauge if you’ll stick around. Respond by showing you’re focused on growing in your role long-term and advancing at the company. For example:

“In 5 years, I hope to have really mastered this role and expanded my skillset significantly through the projects I’ve worked on. I’d love to take on more senior responsibilities and leadership as opportunities arise.”

What Questions Do You Have for Me?

Always prepare 2-3 thoughtful questions to show your engagement and interest in the company/role. Possibilities:

  • “Can you tell me more about the typical first projects or responsibilities of someone in this position?”

  • “How would you describe the culture and workstyle on your team?”

  • “What do you enjoy most about working for Incedo?”

Avoid questions answerable with basic research or related to salary/benefits prematurely.

Additional Tips for Acing Your Incedo Interview

  • Research the company thoroughly – Visit their website, read recent news, and learn about their clients so you understand their business.

  • Practice responding to questions aloud – It’s easier to identify gaps or awkward phrasing when you hear yourself. Practice keeping answers smooth and concise.

  • Prepare 3-5 key stories – Have clear examples ready that emphasize strengths, achievements, leadership, problem-solving and other competencies.

  • Dress professionally – Appearance does matter, so look polished, well-groomed and wear formal business attire.

  • Arrive early – Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early to account for any unexpected delays. Rushing in frazzled right on time creates a bad first impression.

  • Make eye contact and smile – Friendly, confident body language improves rapport with your interviewer. Avoid nervous tics like fidgeting.

Preparing responses for the most common Incedo interview questions takes time and practice. But it’s an investment that can pay off with a stellar interview and new job offer. Use these tips and you’ll be ready to put your best foot forward. Good luck!
