We Support Price Transparency

For our patients to understand their potential financial liability for hospital services, we are making our hospital charges available to patients. Click here for our Price Estimates page.

Hospital charges vary based on the type of care provided. The price can differ from patient to patient for the same services. The price will be different for complications or different treatments for the patients personal health condition. Patients also may qualify for financial assistance. Please contact our Pricing Department at 954-542-0277 Option 2 for a price estimate for a Hospital service or to find out if you qualify for financial assistance. To help expedite your request to obtain an estimate, when calling please provide us with the following: Name, Address, Date of Birth, Insurance Name and ID number, all CPT codes for any testing and ICD-10 or diagnosis codes.

For information about hospital quality and prices, see:

  • MissionToCare.org
  • The Consumers Guide to Understanding Healthcare Prices
  • FloridaHealthPriceFinder | The service bundle information is a non-personalized estimate of costs that may be incurred by the patient for anticipated services. Actual costs will be based on services actually provided to the patient.

Patients are also encouraged to contact members of their care team (e.g., your doctor(s) and other health care providers at the Hospital) to ask:

  • for a personalized estimate of the cost of the services they will provide;
  • how and when you may be billed for their services; and
  • whether your care team participates with your insurance plan

The Hospital contracts with the following independent healthcare practitioner groups to provide services to patients at the Hospital who may bill Patients separately for their services:

  • Radiology Services – South Florida Medical Imaging, P.A.; 2929 E. Commercial Blvd., #600, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308 Phone: (954) 636-2290
  • Hospitalist Services – Sound Inpatient Physicians, Inc.; P.O. Box 743522, Los Angeles, CA 90074-3522; Phone: (866) 765-0513

When working with your insurance company, we encourage you to:

  • Call your insurance provider prior to hospital admission, test or doctors visit. (Patients may receive a separate bill from other providers (i.e. Radiologists, Anesthesiologists) and those providers may or may not participate in the same health plans as the hospital. Consumers are encouraged to contact their provider to determine health plan participation.)
  • Have your insurance card ready with plan/provider/member ID number and the name and/or type of plan (HMO, PPO, etc.).
  • Verify that Holy Cross Hospital and the Holy Cross Medical Group are “in-network.”
  • If your plan is an “Exchange Plan,” ask the insurer if Holy Cross participates in the plan.
  • If we are not in your plan, ask if your benefit plan has “out-of-network” benefits, and what are the out-of-network copayments or coinsurance.
  • Share with them the date of scheduled service, if booked.
  • Share the name of the procedure to be performed.
