MVP Health CarePO Box 26864New York. NY 10087-6864

Include your subscriber ID on the check. Allow 7-10 days for mailing. This is the slowest option, so only use mail for your first payment if needed.

Pay in Person

Some MVP plans allow you to pay your premium at a Walmart or other retail pharmacy. Bring your latest bill and cash, check, or money order. Payments made in-person take 1-2 days to process.

Tips for Paying Your MVP Bill

  • Set up autopay through Gia to never miss a payment. You can autopay from a bank account or credit card.

  • Pay a few days before the due date in case of mailing delays or processing times.

  • Update your payment method if your credit card expires or account changes. MVP will try to notify you, but it’s best to update it yourself through your account.

  • If you’re enrolled through an employer plan or Medicare, your payment options may be different. Check with your benefits administrator.

  • For individual and family plans, the main subscriber must make the payments online. Dependents can’t pay online.

  • If you’re struggling to pay, ask about payment arrangements to avoid cancellation. MVP may be able to offer some flexibility.

What Happens If You Miss a Payment?

It’s important to pay your MVP premiums on time each month. Here’s what happens if you miss a payment:

  • After 30 days overdue – You’ll get a cancellation notice stating the date your coverage will end if you don’t pay.

  • After 45 days overdue – Your policy will be cancelled back to the last paid date. You’ll lose coverage and have a lapse in insurance.

  • After 60 days overdue – MVP will send your account to a collection agency which can hurt your credit score.

To restore cancelled coverage, you must pay the past due premiums in full. There is a 30 day grace period to reinstate coverage, but claims won’t be paid during a lapse. Avoid the headaches by paying on time each month.

Having Trouble Paying? Get Help

If you’re struggling to pay your premiums, contact MVP right away. Don’t wait until you miss a payment. MVP may be able to help in a few ways:

  • Payment arrangements – Set up a scheduled payment plan to pay the past due amount over 3-6 months. This prevents cancellation.

  • Billing adjustment – MVP can recalculate your premium based on income or other factors that may lower it.

  • Changing your plan – You may be able to switch to a lower-priced MVP plan with less benefits but still maintain coverage.

  • Applying for subsidies – Those with low incomes may qualify for Medicaid, CHP, or Essential Plans with $0 premiums based on eligibility.

Let MVP know if your financial situation changes, like job loss, bankruptcy, or disability. The sooner MVP is aware, the more options they have to help you keep your health insurance. Don’t wait until the last minute!

Understand Your MVP Health Care Bill

When you get your monthly premium bill from MVP, here are some key things to look for:

  • Subscriber ID – This is your unique identification number used to register, log in, and make payments. Have this handy when you need to contact MVP.

  • Billing period – Shows the coverage dates for that bill, usually a month or quarter ahead of time. Make sure it matches the coverage period you expected.

  • Total amount due – Required payment to maintain active coverage status for that upcoming period after any credits applied from prior overpayments.

  • Due date – Date the payment must be received by to avoid penalties, usually the 1st of the next month. Pay a few days early to ensure on-time delivery.

  • Outstanding balance – Any past due amount from previous unpaid bills. You must pay this plus the total amount due to bring your account current.

  • Credits – If you overpaid previously, credits are applied to your next bill. This lowers the amount you owe now.

  • Account activity – Transaction history of payments, adjustments, credits, and amounts billed. Review this each month to verify accuracy.

Check your bill thoroughly and contact MVP right away if you see any discrepancies. Make sure you understand what coverage period it applies to and what is owed to maintain active benefits.

Options for Receiving Your MVP Bill

You can choose how you get your monthly MVP premium invoices:

  • Paper bill – Mailed to your address on file. Standard with no extra charge, but slower and less environmentally-friendly.

  • Email eBill – PDF version emailed to an address you provide. Faster and greener with instant access on any device.

  • Online statements – Log in to your Gia account to view current and past billing statements and account activity. No need to wait for snail mail.

  • Gia app – Receive bill due reminders and access statements right from your phone with the Gia by MVP app for iPhone and Android.

Call or chat with MVP Member Service to change your statement delivery preference. Going paperless with eBills or online access means faster access to your account information.
