Having a Staples store credit card can provide great rewards and financing options. However, you’ll want to make sure to pay your bill on time each month In this article, I’ll explain the online options for paying your Staples credit card through Citibank.
Overview of Staples Credit Cards
Staples offers store-branded credit cards issued by Citibank These include the Staples Personal and Business More Accounts, The cards provide
- 5% back in rewards on Staples purchases
- Special financing offers
- Free next-day delivery on Staples.com orders
However, the cards have high ongoing APRs around 27%. That makes paying your full balance monthly important to avoid costly interest charges.
Access Your Staples Credit Account Online
To pay your bill online, you’ll first need to access your Staples credit card account on the Citibank website.
Go to citiretailservices.citibankonline.com and log in with your user ID and password.
If you’ve never logged in before, you can register your new account online using your card details.
Once logged into your account, you’ll see your current balance, available credit, recent transactions, statements, and other details.
Pay Your Bill Through Account Access
Under the “Billing & Payments” tab, you can make a payment on your Staples credit card account.
You’ll need to enter your payment amount and select a payment method. Options include:
- Pay from a bank account
- Pay by debit card
- Pay by credit card
- Pay by check
For quick processing, I recommend paying directly from a bank account linked to your Citibank login.
Make sure to pay by your statement due date to avoid late fees and interest charges. You can set up autopay as well to have payments made automatically each month.
Confirm Payment and Print Receipt
Once submitted, your payment will be confirmed with a reference number. Be sure to print or save the confirmation page as your receipt.
You can also view payment history under the “Statements & Activity” tab to verify payments.
Set Up Account Alerts
Another tip is to set up account alerts for important notifications. You can get alerts for:
- Statement ready
- Payment received
- Balance over limit
- Bill due soon
Alerts help you stay on top of your account activity and avoid missed due dates.

How do I use my tax-exempt number?
If you have sent a copy of your tax certificate to our Tax-Exempt team and received a tax-exempt number, you will not have to pay any tax when you check out.
If you are a new tax-exempt customer, you can fax, mail or email your tax certificate to us. Include your telephone number and order number, if applicable. Your order will be taxed, but you’ll get your money back as soon as our tax department says it’s okay.

- The offer details say that “Excludes Daily Deals and Auto Restock orders,” which means that neither transaction coupons nor product coupons can be used on those items. Limit one coupon per customer, nontransferable. The minimum purchase amount must be met on purchases that can’t be saved with any other coupon or instant savings offer. Tax and shipping not included in calculating the minimum purchase. This offer does not apply to desktop or laptop computers, tablets, Chromebooks, streaming devices, Amazon products, Apple®, Bose®, or Ink Coupon value applied pre-tax.
Other restrictions: Coupons not transferable. Coupons may only be used once and cannot be used on subsequent orders. Please observe the coupon limits on particular offers. Ten coupon maximum for any single order. Void where prohibited. No cash or credit back. Coupon must be submitted at time of order. Expired coupons not valid. Competitors’ and manufacturers coupons not valid. Limit one per customer. Tax and delivery not included in calculating minimum purchase requirement.
