Ring is a popular smart home security system that allows you to monitor your home from anywhere. If you subscribe to a Ring Protect cloud recording plan, you’ll receive a monthly or yearly bill for your subscription. Here are some tips on how to easily pay your Ring bill online or through the mobile app.
Log In to Your Ring Account
The first step is to log in to your Ring account You can do this either on the Ring website at ringcom or in the Ring mobile app,
If you’re on a computer go to ring.com and click “Log In” in the upper right corner. Enter your email address and password to access your account.
If you’re on your mobile device, open the Ring app and tap the three-line menu button in the upper left corner. Tap “Control Center” then enter your email and password to log in.
Once logged in to your Ring account you’ll be able to view and pay your bill.
View Your Bill
To see your current Ring bill amount, first go to the Control Center in your Ring account. On desktop, click on “Account” then “Control Center.” On mobile, tap the three lines and choose Control Center.
Next, look for the Billing section and click on “Billing History.” Here you will see a list of your previous bills as well as your current outstanding balance. Review the amount and due date.
Your current bill needs to be paid by the due date to avoid service interruption. If it’s your first bill, it may take an extra day or two to generate after signing up.
Pay Your Bill Online
Paying your Ring bill through the website is easy and only takes a few clicks. From the Control Center, click on “Billing” then “Make Payment.” Alternatively, you can click “Pay Now” directly from the Billing History page.
On the payment page, enter your credit card details including the card number, expiration date, and CVV code. Make sure the card billing address matches what Ring has on file.
Select whether you want to make a one-time payment for the outstanding balance only, or set up recurring payments to have the bill paid automatically each month. Click Review to double check the details.
Once everything looks good, click “Pay Now” to process the payment securely through Ring’s site. The charge will appear on your next credit card statement.
Use the Ring App to Pay
In addition to the website, you can also easily pay your Ring bill right from the Ring mobile app. Tap the three line menu then Control Center.
Tap on Billing > Billing History to see your outstanding balance and due date. Then tap “Pay Now” to be taken to the payment screen.
Enter your credit card number, expiration date, and CVV code. Make sure the billing address is correct. Tap Pay to submit the payment through the app.
The Ring app provides a quick and easy way to pay on the go without having to log in to the website. Just open the app anytime and tap Pay Now right from your Billing History.
Set Up Auto Pay
Instead of manually paying each month, you can enable auto pay through your Ring account. This securely saves your credit card to automatically charge the monthly bill to that card.
To start auto pay, go to the Billing section of your Control Center. Click “Add Payment Method” and enter you credit card details. Make sure auto pay is toggled on.
With auto pay enabled, Ring will automatically charge your card on file on the billing due date each month. You’ll no longer have to manually pay each bill.
You can turn auto pay off at any time if you decide you want to go back to manually paying your Ring bill as needed. Just toggle auto pay to the off position.
Avoid Service Interruptions
It’s important to pay your Ring bill on time each month to avoid any service interruptions. If your bill is past due, you may lose access to features like cloud recordings and notifications.
To prevent disruptions, pay by the due date shown on your Billing History page. Set a monthly reminder on your calendar to pay your bill or enable auto pay.
If you pay late, your account will remain active but you won’t have access to cloud recordings until the bill is paid. Just log in and pay the past due balance as soon as possible.
Get Billing Email Notifications
Ring can send you handy email notifications when a new bill is ready and when your payment is due. This helps you stay on top of your billing cycle.
To enable billing emails, go to your account Notification Settings. Under Billing Notifications, toggle the options on for payment reminders and billing summaries.
Then when your monthly bill is ready or a payment is due, you’ll get an email straight to your inbox. The emails include quick links to view and pay your bill online.
Email alerts ensure your Ring bill never gets lost or forgotten, preventing any accidental lapses in service.
Check Payment History
Want to double check when your most recent payment was made? Your full Ring billing history is available in your Control Center.
Under Billing, click on “Billing History.” Here you’ll see past payment amounts and dates going back over your entire account history.
Refer to your billing history anytime something looks amiss or if you need to check details on a previous payment. The info is readily available in your account.
Update Billing Details
If you get a new credit card, make sure to update your billing details so your monthly Ring payment continues to process.
Under Billing, click “Payment Methods” and click the option to edit your current card. Enter the new credit card number and other details.
Don’t forget to also update recurring payments and auto pay settings. Or if your card expires, add the updated expiration date so your auto payments continue.
Keeping your payment info current avoids disruptions in service due to declined or expired cards.
Contact Ring Support
Have any trouble viewing or paying your Ring bill? The helpful Ring customer support team is available 24/7.
