Utility bills are mailed out monthly and payment is due 21 days after the billing date You can receive paper bills by mail or enroll in paperless e-bills

Water Base Charge

- 5/8″ meter = $14.05
Wastewater Charge
- Based on water volume since sewer correlates to water used
- $5.35 per 1,000 gallons

Options for Paying Your Utility Bill
By Mail
Mail your payment stub and check or money order to the address printed on your utility bill. Write your account number on the check. Allow 5-7 days for mail delivery to avoid late fees.
In Person
Bring your payment to Fountain City Hall at 116 S. Main St. during business hours. You can pay by cash, check or credit/debit card.
Online Bill Pay
Set up automatic monthly payments through your bank’s online bill pay using your utility account number. Payments are usually sent by check through the mail.
Online via City Website
Register for an account on the City’s customer portal to make one-time or recurring online payments by credit/debit card or e-check. A service fee applies to online payments.

Place your check or money order in the drive-up Utility Payment drop box at City Hall. No cash payments.
Automatic Bank Draft

The city of Fountain says its new online utility portal is now up and running, even though there were some problems when it first opened.
Does fountain utilities offer utility bill payment assistance?
Utilities Payment Assistance Fountain Utilities offers utility bill payment assistance through its Lighten the Load Program. Lighten the Load is a self-help program that helps people and families pay their utility bills temporarily. It is a voluntary contribution program. Where can I make a payment in Fountain?
Call (719) 322-2010 or come in to our walk-in cashier location for assistance. The police station in Fountain, the bank Pikes Peak, and city hall Fountain all had payment drop boxes that were closed. Note: If you drop off your payment after 7 a.m., it will be applied to your utility account the next business day.

Does fountain utilities offer a convenience fee?
A convenience fee may apply. Fountain Utilities has a plan called the “Budget Bill Plan” for residential customers that makes it easy to pay for utility services every month. Where can I get water & wastewater funding in Fountain Valley?
For after hours, take advantage our drop box located outside the entrance to City Hall. The City of Fountain Valley applied for and received funding for past due water and wastewater accounts. Funding was received on two separate occasions through the California Extended Water and Wastewater Arrearage Payment Programs.
