Tips to Avoid Convenience Fees
The most budget-friendly way to pay your Savannah water bill online is through eCheck since it incurs no fees. To qualify for eCheck, remember:
- Payment must be below $1,000
- Input your routing & account number
- Use a checking or savings account
If paying under $300 by card, the $3.85 fee is usually still cheaper than buying stamps and envelopes. You can lower the fee by:
- Paying as little over $10 as possible
- Paying multiple bills in one transaction
- Using a debit card rather than credit card
Finally, see if your bank reimburses out-of-network ATM fees, as those often apply to convenience fees for online payments. This could make the cost negligible.
