I interviewed at UnitedHealth Group

Interview

Applied. Got an email about a video interview the next day that had to be completed in 5 days. After the video interview was sent in I got an email the next day about a phone interview. The phone interview is very difficult in my opinion because all they ask is “TELL ME ABOUT A TIME” questions. Make sure you know EVERY job experience you’ve had in the past because if you don’t you most likely won’t get the job. They aren’t interested in you as a person (strengths, weaknesses, what you can contribute) they are interested in your previous job experiences. So if you can recall all that then you may have a chance at acting the interview. You also have to commit your life to them in training you can’t miss a single day. I won’t ever apply again.

United Healthcare HireVue interview – what to expect

HireVue interviews are interviews where the questions are decoupled from the answers. Simply put – you’ll be shown a pre-recorded question and you have to record yourself answering the question. The process is relatively straightforward, you’ll receive a link to your interview via email, which can be opened at any time before the deadline. Click on the link, and start your interview when you are ready. After some introductory videos, you’ll be shown your first question. That will start a “prep timer”, where you’ll usually have around 30 seconds to prepare an answer to the question displayed. After the prep timer winds down to zero – or if you choose to skip the prep time altogether – you’ll have between 2 to 3 minutes to answer. During that time, you’ll be recorded on video and audio.

This process will repeat itself over and over until there are no more questions to be asked. United Healthcare’s HireVue interview usually has only 3 to 5 questions. Most people are done with the interview in 25 minutes.
