The experience was good. 3 rounds of discussion. Mostly practical-based technical questions. All rounds were of a fair difficulty level. The technical round was a long discussion and was very in-depth. Questions were experiencial questions. There were also guess estimate question.

- Tell me about yourself, family background
American Express is a global financial services company that offers credit cards, charge cards and traveler’s cheques. The company also provides business travel solutions to corporate clients. Your interviewer may ask this question to determine if you have experience working with large companies in the past. If you do, share your experiences and how they helped you develop your skills.
Example: “If I didn’t know how to solve an issue, I would first try to find the answer myself by researching it online or asking my colleagues. If I still couldn’t find the solution, I would ask my manager for help. They have more experience than me, so they may be able to provide a better answer.”
Example: “I once had a client that was traveling internationally, but they didn’t have any foreign currency on hand. I offered to exchange some of my own money so that they could use it while abroad. They were very appreciative of this gesture and told me how much they appreciated my customer service. It made me feel good knowing that I helped someone out in a time of need.”
Example: “The most recent trend in business travel is the increase in remote work. This has led to more companies offering flexible working options as well as increased demand for coworking spaces. As a result, I have seen many organizations implement virtual meetings and video conferencing tools into their business travel policies.”
Example: “I am very comfortable adapting to new technology, especially when it comes to my job. In my last position as an account manager for a marketing firm, I was responsible for managing the social media accounts for several clients. My employer updated our social media management platform, so I spent two weeks learning the new system before implementing any changes.”
