Front Desk Receptionist Interview
I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at The Bar Method (Bethesda, MD) in Jul 2014
Interview
For the interview they asked that I stay after taking a class to sit down and talk with the owner, a manager and another instructor. It was very casual, and the questions were fairly generic. They really looked for people who were current clients, and loved the classes as well as the company. Each conversation was about 15 minutes long, and they got back to me within a week.

Front Desk Agent Interview
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at The Bar Method

No real interview process; you basically just have to know someone who works there because they like to “keep it in the family.” Great job for actors/writers/anyone pursuing other interests or careers that needs flexibility

Front Desk Associate Interview
I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at The Bar Method (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2016
Interview
It’s easiest to get an interview if you’re a current client. If you’re looking to get a position for free classes, sign up for their new client special. They usually post job openings physically in the studio or on their Facebook page. After seeing a post, I asked at the front desk and they asked me to come in to talk to the owners a few days later.
- How would you explain Bar Method to someone who has never taken a class?
