I would keep the ratios low in the preschool classrooms, I would set up a planning time schedule, I would give teachers 15 minute breaks, I would have the sandboxes professionally cleaned every month, I would show my staff how much I value and care about them every week. I would be encouraging and kind to my staff and not play favorites. I would listen to my teaching staffs ideas and implement them and I would pay my staff what their worth and increase their pay yearly from $1.00 to $2.00 depending on how well they did on their performance review.

Stop protecting people who shouldn’t be protected. When reporting issues that were happening at my center, HR told me that people have brought it to their attention for a few years. Refuse to work for a company that don’t care for the children’s well-being.

The pay. If anything, inflation is making harder for many of the employees to make a living (sustainable) for themselves and their families. The yearly raises of a few cent does nothing when inflation rises dollars a day.
