Online Bill Pay

The most convenient way to pay your rural water bill is using BCRWA’s online bill pay system. To get started, go to www.bcrwa.org and click on the “Online Bill Pay” link at the top of the homepage.

You’ll need to enter your 10-digit account number without dashes to log in The online system accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover credit/debit cards There is a flat $2.00 processing fee per transaction that BCRWA collects.

Online payments can be made 24/7 and you’ll receive instant confirmation when the payment is completed. You can also opt for paperless billing and setup automatic payments through the online portal.

Pay By Phone

To pay your water bill over the phone, you can call the BCRWA office at 605-526-3283 during business hours of 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday through Friday.

Have your account number and credit card ready to make the payment. There is a $2.00 fee for phone payments made with a credit/debit card. The advantage of paying by phone is being able to talk with a customer service rep if needed.

Pay By Mail

Mailing in a check or money order is another easy option for paying your rural water bill. Detach the payment stub from your paper bill and write your 10-digit account number on the check.

The office is open 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday, except on major holidays. In-person payments can be made by cash, check, or credit/debit card. There is a $2.00 transaction fee for credit card payments.

Payment Drop Box

For your convenience, a drive-up payment drop box is located outside the BCRWA office. Payments left in the drop box by 4:15pm will be processed the same business day.

Place your check or money order in an envelope with your account number written on it. Please do not deposit cash in the drop box.

Automatic Bank Drafts

You can enroll in automatic bank draft payments through the online bill pay portal or by submitting a signed authorization form to BCRWA. This automatically pays your water bill from your checking or savings account each month.

Download the bank draft authorization form from www.bcrwa.org and mail it in to setup automatic payments. There is no fee for bank draft payments. You’ll still receive a monthly statement for your records.

Payment Assistance Programs

BCRWA partners with local non-profit organizations to provide financial assistance to qualifying low-income households who are struggling to pay their water bills.

Contact the BCRWA office to learn more about possible utility bill payment grants or loans through relief agencies like Neighborhood Impact Organization, Salvation Army, and St. Vincent De Paul.

Avoid Late Fees

Brown County Rural Water bills are due by the 10th of each month. A 10% late fee is added to unpaid bills after the 10th. Accounts with past due balances are subject to water service disconnection.
