Interviews at Change, grow, live
I interviewed at Change, grow, live
It was all done online, which went very smoothly. I was surprised that it was only a 1 stage process even though it was in 2 parts. The 2nd part was meeting a panel of lived experience people to ensure you understand those being supported and will fit in.

Very friendly panel, made me feel at ease and allowed me to present myself well. I felt they were genuinely interested in finding out about me as a professional and assessing my suitability for the post as well as my fit with the organisation.

Anonymous Employee in Southampton, England
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Change, grow, live (Southampton, England) in Jun 2022
First stage of interview was competency and operational questions. Having a strong clinical background meant that I was very confident with the questions and my responses. The second stage of the interview however wasnt the best experience. The second stage was a values based interview. I waited almost 3 weeks to get this interview appointment. According to feedback from past staff members, questions were so easy that candidates can read it from behind a screen which runs the risk of offering interviews to people who dont have a broad knoedge in this area.

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Bradford, England
I applied online. I interviewed at Change, grow, live (Bradford, England) in Apr 2022
Nice people, standard interview questions, but not very related to my experience. The first time I visited Branford, didnt expect it is a quiet city. Inside the charity, it seems people are chilling at work, listening to rap music and chatting

Anonymous Employee in Liverpool, England
I applied online. I interviewed at Change, grow, live (Liverpool, England) in Oct 2021
My competency based interview had 10 questions which was more than I was used to for an AP post but had a service user on the panel which I thought was amazing. I mentioned some lived experience relevant to the role and they said that they loved that I’d mentioned that so I think just be yourself and it seems like it’s going to be an amazing company to work for!

Anonymous Interview Candidate in London, England
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Change, grow, live (London, England)
Interviewed by two people via zoom. Very structured questions, no room for movement or conversation. Job description stated management, nothing mentioned in JD about social work, but all questions social work based. Very formal, no wiggle room or options to make and impression outside of the set 7 questions. One person interviewing was almost rude, “Hi, Im – – -, I have 7 questions, lets go”. Felt as though I was taking up her time and she wanted to be somewhere else. No clarification of the role, the salary, or benefits. Didnt ask about why wanted to work for company, what was known about company, or why wanting to leave current role. No clarification on shift pattern, location or questions on potential start dates, or upcoming annual leave. Was successful in first stage interview, was invited to second stage interview, where had the same experience. Very structured, no wiggle room to make an impression. Interviewed by two women, one of which was very rude. And stated during the interview on question one “well you cant really answer that question then can you” when asked about social Work experience, when it was clear on my cv that I do not have social work experience. Again no clarification on job role, salary etc, and not even a clarification of the actual job title during second interview of the role interviewing for. Questioned with the recruitment team whether I had been onto the correct pathway as interview questions did not match job description, and was confirmed that the interview was correct. Interview was 5 weeks ago, and have yet to hear, assume was unsuccessful. I have the feeling that they employed internally for this role, and had already made their decision before the interview process.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Change, grow, live
The interview was competency-based, which is the standard method used by change grow live. The total length of the process, from the applications last date to the interview, was just under 2 weeks (9 days). Very well organized interview process. Everything was carried out based on the schedule. The interviewer: Martin Folan is a gem of a person (very rare to find these days). In terms of communicating the interview dates & requirements to feedback after the interview, everything was done in a compassionate manner. If change grows live posses people like martin, I can see them getting some good talents in the future. I regret losing this great opportunity!

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Leeds, England
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Change, grow, live (Leeds, England) in Jun 2021
1 informal discussion with an external agency, then 3 MS Teams interviews with CGL. After filling a lengthy prescreen form, that if done correctly will take about 3 hours, I was rejected because I didnt have NHS experience. Obviously, a blinkered charity that cant think outside of the box. Its an IT vacancy, Im not applying to be a medical Doctor. Dont waste your time with this business, theyll use the info you give them to their benefit and you wont be recompensed for it. Just move on to the next opportunity.
