How to Pay Your ECEC Bill Through SmartHub

Step 1: Create a SmartHub Account
First, you’ll need to create a free SmartHub account if you don’t already have one. Visit https://www.ecec.com/my_account/smarthub and click “Create Account.” Enter some basic contact and account information to set up your profile.
Step 2: Choose a Payment Method
Add a payment method like a bank account, credit card, or debit card to your profile. For your security, your full account number will not be stored.
Step 3: View Your Bill
When logged in, find your current bill amount listed and click “Pay Now” to submit a payment. Bills are usually generated around the 20th of each month.
Step 4: Schedule Payments
For added convenience, you can opt for autorecurring payments. Under Billing & Payments, choose Recurring Payments. Select your payment amount and frequency.
Step 5: Get Payment Confirmations
Receive email and text confirmations when your payments are processed so you know your bill is paid. You can also review payment history under the Billing & Payments tab.

You’ll be prompted to enter your 13-digit ECEC account number and the first five letters of your last name on the account. Make sure your account number and name match what’s printed on your paper bill. Then, select your payment amount and submit your payment.
Just like with standard SmartHub, your payment will be immediately applied to your account. But with Pay Now, you won’t be able to view full billing history or set up recurring payments. It’s best for a quick, one-time payment when you don’t need access to your full account dashboard.
