Interviews for Top Jobs at Ferguson Enterprises
Project Manager (Remote) Interview
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ferguson Enterprises
Interview
I applied via the website. Within a week of my submission, a manager reached out to schedule a teams meeting. 1hr long conversation. We spoke about my work history and what I was looking for in a position. I was offered the position within a week. No additional conversations or anything with HR. Drug & background test were required.
- Questions about work history and time management strategies. They mostly explained what the position entails and I related me previous working experience to that.
Marketing Specialist Interview
I applied online. I interviewed at Ferguson Enterprises (Albuquerque, NM) in Oct 2022
Interview
The first contact was by text and email. They sent me a link to answer some interview questions through a 3rd party website. I did not do it. I strongly oppose this method of interviewing. An interview should be with a person as you are learning about the position just as they are learning about you.

Warehouse – Picker Interview
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Ferguson Enterprises (Cedar Rapids, IA) in Jun 2022
Interview
Tell a bit about yourself, what your skills and abilities are and listen actively. If you get a tour it’s a good sign. Pending a drug screen and background check you’ll be offered a job. The job may be a perpetually temporary position or may be a hire on if someone vacates their position.
- What is your name and number?
Example: “I am a highly organized person who is always prepared for meetings or presentations. I also work well under pressure and can handle multiple tasks at once. My weakness is that sometimes I get so focused on the task at hand that I forget to take breaks. This has led to me feeling overwhelmed in the past, but I’ve learned to set realistic expectations for myself.”
I explained that if they didn’t make good on their debt soon, we would have no choice but to terminate our business relationship. They agreed to pay us within 10 days. A week later, they still hadn’t paid us. At that point, I contacted our legal department and learned that we could file a lawsuit against them. We ended up filing a lawsuit and won the case. The distributor eventually paid us everything they owed.”
Example: “I’ve worked in a team setting for the past five years at my current job. I work on a sales team that consists of three other employees. We all specialize in different areas but collaborate together to meet our quotas and help each other succeed. In addition, we hold weekly meetings where we discuss our progress and any challenges we’re facing.”
Example: “My greatest strength as a manager would have to be my ability to communicate clearly with employees. I find that many managers struggle with communicating effectively with their teams, but I’ve always been good at making sure everyone understands what they need to do and when they need to do it. My biggest weakness as a manager would probably be delegating tasks appropriately. I’m very detail-oriented, so sometimes I want to take on too much work myself.”
Example: “In my previous role, I had a customer who was looking for a very specific product that we didn’t carry in our inventory. Instead of selling them something similar, I offered to find out if any other wholesalers carried what they were looking for. After some research, I found another distributor who could fulfill their order. The customer was happy with the result, and it helped me build a relationship with a new supplier.”
If We Were to Sit Here a Year Later Celebrating the Company’s Accomplishments, What Would Be Your Credit?
First, the answer to this question during the job interview shows that the candidate has studied the company and its activities. It is also an indicator that the future employee is aware of their role in the company and knows what they will work on. The candidate must have a strategic vision to give a structured and clear answer; thus, the question reveals one’s potential.
