How to Pay Your Hot Springs Utility Bill: A Comprehensive Guide

3. Enter your account number as shown on your monthly utility bill.

4. Type in your name as listed on your bill and create a password.

Once your account is set up, you can log in anytime and click on “Payments” to make a payment. You can pay by credit card, debit card, or electronic check There are no extra fees to use this online payment system

I recommend setting up automatic monthly payments through the customer portal. This way, you don’t have to manually go in and pay each month. Your bill will automatically be paid on the due date from your chosen payment method.

To enroll in automatic payments, log into your account, go to “Payments,” and choose “Credit Card Enrollment” or “eCheck Enrollment” to get started. It only takes a few minutes to set up.

Paying online is my top choice because it’s so quick and easy. I just log into my account while I’m checking emails in the morning and click to pay my bill.

Pay by Phone

If you prefer to talk to a live person, you can pay your Hot Springs utility bill over the phone by calling 1-888-242-6632. This automated payment system is available 24/7 so you can call anytime.

When prompted by the system, just enter your account number and the payment amount. You can then choose to pay with a credit/debit card, electronic check, or check by phone. There are no extra fees to use the phone payment system.

I really only use this method when I’m in a time crunch and forgot to pay online. The convenience of paying by phone is that you don’t have to leave your house or wait in any lines!

Pay In Person

To make an in-person payment, you can visit the Utility Billing Services office located at 324 Malvern Avenue. They are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

When you arrive, take your latest utility bill with you so the staff can easily locate your account. You can pay by cash, check, credit card, or debit card. I recommend paying in person if you prefer dealing with someone face-to-face or need to talk through questions on your account.

The benefit of paying in person is you receive instant confirmation that your payment was processed. Just be aware that the office is only open during weekday business hours, so you’ll need to take time out of your work schedule to visit.

Pay by Mail

If you want to mail in a payment, first fill out the payment slip at the bottom of your utility bill. Then mail that payment stub with your check or money order (do not mail cash) to:

Your mailed payment will typically take 5-7 days to process after being received. I only use this option if I’m going to the post office for something else and can drop the payment in the mail then.

Just keep in mind that any payments received after your due date will incur a late fee. So make sure to mail your check with plenty of time for it to arrive before the 10th of the month.

Drop Box Locations

For another offline payment option, you can place your utility bill check or money order in one of the secure drop boxes located around Hot Springs. Payments dropped off before 8 a.m. each weekday will be processed that same day.

• Parking lot at 111 Opera Street near City Hall
• In front of the airport terminal building
• Lower parking lot entrance at 324 Malvern Avenue

Dropping my payment in the box on the way to work is an easy option when I don’t have time to go inside and pay in person. Just be sure not to place cash in the drop boxes since they can’t be traced if lost or stolen.

Automatic Bank Draft

The most hands-off way to pay your utility bill is enrolling in automatic bank draft payments. This authorizes the City of Hot Springs to automatically withdraw the amount due each month from your chosen checking or savings account.

To sign up, complete the Bank Draft Authorization Form available on the utility billing website. Mail it along with a voided check to:

It takes one full billing cycle for bank draft payments to begin. After that, you don’t have to worry about late fees or service interruptions from forgetting to pay your bill. The funds are automatically deducted each month on the due date.
