Paying your monthly HTC cable, internet, and phone bill should be quick and convenient. If you don’t want the hassle of mailing payments or managing automatic bank withdrawals, HTC offers the option to pay your bill easily over the phone.
Paying by phone is fast, secure, and available anytime. In this guide, we’ll cover everything you need to know about paying your HTC bill by phone.
Call the HTC Bill Payment Line
To pay your HTC bill by phone, you’ll need to call their automated bill payment line at (833) 890-6261. This dedicated number is for making one-time or recurring monthly payments on your account.
The automated phone payment system is available 24/7. So you can call and take care of your bill whenever it’s convenient for you, day or evening.
Just make sure to call and pay by no later than the due date listed on your monthly statement to avoid any late fees
Have Your Account Number Ready
Before phoning in your payment, have your HTC account number handy. This is the 11-digit number that starts with 157 that’s printed on your monthly bills and statements.
The automated system will ask you to enter your full account number on the phone keypad to pull up your account and current balance due. Having it ready speeds up the process.
You can find your account number by logging in to your HTC online account portal. Or just refer to your most recent bill or statement.
Select Your Payment Amount
Once you input your HTC account number, the automated system will state your total amount due for the current billing period. You can choose to pay the full balance or a different amount.
Press “1” to pay the total amount due stated for the current billing cycle. Or press “2” to enter a different payment amount that you specify.
Paying any amount less than the total current balance due will result in that portion carrying over as past due on your next statement.
Enter Payment Information
After selecting your payment amount, you’ll be prompted to input the payment source you want to use – either a credit/debit card or bank account.
To pay by debit or credit card, press “1”. Have your card number, expiration date, and CVV code ready to enter on the automated system. HTC accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
Or press “2” to pay directly from your checking or savings account. You’ll need to input your account number and routing number.
Paying from your bank account is free. But there is a convenience fee for using a debit or credit card.
Confirm Payment Details
The automated system will then repeat back the HTC account being paid, the amount of the payment, and the payment source.
Listen closely to confirm all these details are correct for your bill payment. Press “1” to confirm and process the payment.
If any info is inaccurate, press “2” to go back and re-enter the correct account number, amount, or payment source details.
Get a Reference Number
Once you confirm and submit your phone payment, HTC’s automated system will provide a reference number for that transaction.
Be sure to write down the confirmation number and keep it for your records. This is proof of your payment in case you need to verify the payment later for any reason.
Payment Appears on Statement
The payment you make over the phone typically posts to your HTC account within 1-2 business days. You’ll see the payment amount and date paid on your next monthly statement.
You can also log in to your HTC online account to view your updated account balance and payment history anytime.
Set Up Recurring Payments
If you call to pay your HTC bill frequently, consider setting up automatic monthly payments to save yourself time.
With autopay, the bill amount will be debited from your bank account or credit card automatically each month on the due date.
To enroll in recurring phone payments, select that option when prompted by the automated system. Provide your preferred payment source details for ongoing monthly debits.
Avoid Late Fees
Be sure to pay your HTC bill by the due date to avoid late payment fees. HTC charges a fee if your payment is received after the due date.
Falling behind on payments can also result in service interruption until your account balance is paid up to date. Pay by phone quickly anytime to stay current!
