Kandiyohi Power Coop Bill Pay: Convenient Ways to Pay Your Electric Bill

Kandiyohi Power Cooperative (KPC) provides reliable electric service to thousands of homes, farms and businesses across central Minnesota As a customer, it’s important to pay your KPC electric bill on time each month Luckily, Kandiyohi Power offers several payment options to fit every schedule and preference. Read on to learn the easiest ways to pay your Kandiyohi Power Coop bill.

Online Payment

The fastest most convenient way to pay your KPC electric bill is online through SmartHub. SmartHub is Kandiyohi Power’s online member portal and mobile app. After creating a free SmartHub account, you can securely view and pay your KPC bill 24/7.

To pay online, simply login to your SmartHub account and select “Pay Now” on your account dashboard. You can then enter your payment details and submit the payment immediately. SmartHub accepts all major credit/debit cards, as well as direct bank account payments.

Online payments post to your account right away, so it’s easy to pay last-minute before the due date. You’ll receive an email confirmation with your payment details. Paying online also avoids the need for stamps or trips to the KPC office. It’s by far the quickest bill pay option.

Pay Now

KPC offers a “Pay Now” feature for quick, one-time payments without logging in. On Kandiyohi Power’s website, click the Pay Now link and enter your account number and last name. You can then make a debit/credit card payment without registration.

Pay Now is best for infrequent payments since it doesn’t store your information. But it’s useful in a pinch if you don’t need full SmartHub access. Payments post immediately so your account stays current.

Auto Pay

For hassle-free bill payment, enroll in KPC’s Auto Pay program. This automatically deducts the amount due from your chosen bank account on the billing due date each month. Auto Pay prevents late fees so you can “set it and forget it”.

To start Auto Pay, login to SmartHub and navigate to the Auto Pay page under “My Profile”. Enter your bank account information and confirm the monthly withdrawal amount. Going forward, your bill will deduct automatically each billing cycle.

Pay by Phone

Kandiyohi Power members can also pay their electric bill conveniently by phone. To pay by phone, call KPC’s office at 320-796-2220 and select the billing option. You can then make a payment using your credit/debit card or checking account.

This is a fast, simple option when you don’t have your bill handy. Just note that phone payments still need to be made during KPC’s office hours. For after-hours payment, the online or Pay Now options are recommended.

Pay by Mail

Paying by mail is a traditional bill payment method still used by many Kandiyohi Power members. To pay by mail, write your 10-digit account number on your check or money order along with your current bill stub. Send your mailed payment to:

Kandiyohi Power Cooperative
8605 47th St NE
Spicer, MN 56288

Remember to allow 5-7 business days for your mailed payment to reach KPC’s office and post to your account. Paying by mail gives you a payment record but takes more time.

Drop Boxes

For fast mail-in style payment, Kandiyohi Power has drop boxes available 24/7 outside their headquarters and at Cash Wise in Willmar. Simply place your payment (check or money order) in the drop box slot anytime. Drop box payments get credited to your account daily.

Pay In Person

You can also pay your KPC electric bill in person at their headquarters office located at:

8605 47th St NE
Spicer, MN 56288

The office is open 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. In-person payments can be made by cash, check or credit/debit card. KPC accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express cards. You’ll receive a printed receipt.

Payment Assistance

If you’re ever unable to pay your full electric bill, Kandiyohi Power offers payment assistance programs. Contact their team about available bill help, budget billing, and other economic assistance options. Qualified low-income members can receive financial aid for their electric bill.

Avoid Late Fees

However you choose to pay your Kandiyohi Power Coop electric bill, be sure to remit payment by the due date listed to avoid late fees. KPC bills are typically due around the 25th of each month. Electronic payments and drop box payments credit same-day, while mailed payments take 5-7 days to post.

Setting up automatic monthly payments through SmartHub is the best way to guarantee on-time payment. But Kandiyohi Power offers bill pay options for all needs – online, phone, mail, drop box, auto pay and in person. Compare the options to find the right fit for your schedule and preferences. Most importantly, pay on time each month to maintain service and avoid unnecessary fees or collections. Your Kandiyohi Power account makes managing payments quick and easy.
