Interview
After filling out the initial application online, i received an email the next day asking me to take a 69 question test frim the link in the email. Its your typical “morality test” type of questions that go with most retail jobs. The next day i received another email asking me if I was available at 1 pm the following day for a phone interview. I replied yes. The next day a very friendly young woman called me. Ibwas very polite and answered her questions as professionally as posdible, citung experience from previous jobs. I could feel that the interview was going well. At the end of the questions she told me that she thought I would make a great member of the Kohl’s team. I accepted her offer if employment. Two days later i received an email with the hiring and orientation information to fill out and to schedule my in person orientation.
- Most questions asked were typical of a retail interview. “Explain a time that you came to the rescue of your employees in a crisis situation “. “Explain a time in a previous job that you were able to right a wrong”. For me it wasn’t that hard as I have been through 50 or so of these interviews in my life.

Why do you want to work at Kohl’s as a sales associate?
Try to define some positive associations you have with their brand, or even the department store in question. Perhaps you like some fashion brands they sell at Kohl’s, or some of their in-house brands. Or you like the organization of the store, the vibe of the place, level of customer service, or anything. You may say that you simply feel good at the place, and their corporate values resonate with your values more than the values other retail giants promote.
You should also explain why you want to work as a sales associate.
