Non-Residential/Commercial |
Non-Residential Customers are billed based upon municipal water usage, with a minimum Quarterly Bill of $80.06. Non-Residential customers using more than four thousand (4,000) gallons per month are billed at a rate of $6.68 per thousand (1,000) gallons of water used. The District calculates Non-Residential sewer bills using a 12-month rolling average water consumption. Each quarter, we calculate the average monthly potable water used over the past 12 months, then we multiply that by 3 to calculate the average amount of water used per quarter. The sewer bill is based on the following water consumption schedule to provide time for data processing:

The quarterly sewer bill for new customers with less than 1 month of water data, or customers that receive potable water from a private well, will be based on the number of equivalent connections established in your developer agreement.
*Irrigation Credit – If you use municipal water for landscape irrigation you may be able to lower your sewer bill by installing a meter to document the amount of water used for irrigation purposes. If you already have a separate irrigation meter that was installed by your water provider, no additional work is necessary. If you already have a separate irrigation meter that was installed by someone other than your water provider, then you should call the Loxahatchee River District Engineering Department (561) 747-5700, Option 3) to schedule an inspection of the meter. Then each month you will need to call the District offices with your monthly irrigation meter reading to receive a credit on your sewer bill. If you do not have a separate irrigation meter, you should speak with your plumber or water service provider and discuss the feasibility and cost of installing such a meter. More information on the installation of an irrigation meter.
