Lyon County Utilities provides water service to Mound House and Dayton areas. We work with Crystal Clear Water in Yerington, the Smith Valley water system in Smith Valley, and the Dressler Park water system in Wellington as well. All of the water supplied to these systems comes from ground water wells.

Does Lyon County utility pay a credit card fee?
LYON COUNTY UTILITIES DOES NOT RECEIVE ANY OF THIS FEE. GOOD NEWS – Effective 5/1/17 the credit card fee has been LOWERED. This happened because our Utility Staff and County Staff worked hard based on what customers told them. The fee is now a flat 2. 5% plus a $1 transaction fee with a minimum charge of $2.
How do I make a payment?
People can pay at the office in person, or they can call during office hours and use a Master Card or Visa credit or debit card to pay over the phone. We do have a drop box located in the parking lot for after-hours payments. We do not suggest dropping cash in this box.
