Interviews for Top Jobs at Mercedes-Benz International
Sachbearbeiter Kundenbetreuung Interview
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Mercedes-Benz International (Tuscaloosa, AL)
Interview
Manager, Data House Interview
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Mercedes-Benz International (Berlin) in May 2022
Interview
3-step process1. About 30-minute video interview with recruiter with basic screening questions around work experience and salary expectations.2. 1-hour video interview with recruiter, 1 National Manager, 1 Management Consultant and 1 IT guy. I was asked to prepare a case study for presentation.3. Another 1-hour video interview with same National Manager and Management Consultant from Germany who previously interviewed me.Overall process took more than 2 months which is ridiculous for a company like Mercedes (their slogan is Best or Nothing huh). There was a 3 week gap between steps. After my last interview they took abother 2 weeks to give me the outcome of the process. This is because their hiring manager wanted to go on vacation and couldn’t make a decision.I was advised that MB Canada is investing in Data Analytics for which they are building a team. However, when I asked more about role and responsibilities, I was given very vague responses. They asked open-ended questions about the position which is expected but how can a candidate relate to the role if hiring manager is clueless about the type of candidate they are looking for and job description is unclear? There was a mangement consultant from Germany involved in the hiring process as well which didn’t make sense since the role was focused on MB Canada customers.

Say them that you enjoy flying, and that you believe to be a responsible person. You can also say that you have all skills and strengths needed for this type of work. Alternatively you can refer to an experience that motivated you to pursue the career, such as meeting a pilot when you were young, or having passion for aircraft models since childhood.
The key is to convince them that you really want the job, and did not apply just because you’ve already spent a small fortune on your studies and training.
