Mt. Wheeler Power will implement a rate adjustment starting January 2025 to ensure we continue providing reliable power to our members while addressing the rising costs of critical materials, infrastructure maintenance, and the growing demands on our system.
These changes are essential to maintaining the reliable service our members depend on while addressing inflationary pressures and rising fixed costs. Despite these adjustments, Mt. Wheeler Power remains committed to providing affordable energy, which is why we continue to work diligently to keep our rates among the lowest in Nevada and Utah.
We understand that rate changes can be concerning. The impact of this adjustment will vary based on factors such as individual usage and rate classification. Conservation efforts will play a significant role in keeping bills low. We encourage members to contact us for guidance on managing energy use.
If you have any questions or would like more information on how these changes will affect your bill, please reach out to our Member Services team at 775-289-8981 or 800-977-6937.
We are committed to providing clear, transparent information and supporting you every step of the way.
Mt. Wheeler Power invites you to make a difference this holiday season through our annual Santa’s Elves Christmas Assistance Program. Over 100 ornaments now adorn our holiday tree in the Ely office lobby, each carrying the wish of a local child in need. For more than 30 years, this program has helped bring joy and relief to families facing financial challenges, and this year, we hope to continue that tradition with your support.
How to Participate: Stop by our Ely office at 1600 Great Basin Blvd., Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and choose an ornament from our holiday tree. Each ornament represents a child’s holiday wish, including toys, clothing, and essential items. You can also make a monetary donation through the end of the year, which will help us cover the remaining needs of families in our community.
