The Water Billing department is responsible for the billing our Berea water, Berea sewer and North East Ohio Regional Sewer (NEORSD) sewer billing. We provide the scheduling of our water meter services through our Water Department. We also calculate status reports for transfers of all properties, as well as schedule any shut offs to water service.

Berea is on a quarterly billing system. Therefore, your water and sewer bill reflects three (3) months of usage. In 2017 we completed a city wide automated meter reading system in which most accounts now have hourly water usages recorded. We no longer are required to gain entry on a regular basis to read the water meters. Not only has this helped identify leaks and problems very quickly, we are also able to notify residents quickly of such leaks to help with large bills.

If you suspect a problem with your water usage, please contact our Water Billing Department and request assistance in analyzing your usage or obtaining copies of your reports. Documented leaks that have been corrected timely can be eligible for a discount for owner occupied residential properties
