As a student or parent of a student at Oregon State University (OSU) it’s important to understand the bill payment options available to you. OSU aims to provide flexible and convenient billing services to the OSU community. This guide will outline the methods for viewing and paying your OSU bill online by mail, or in person.
Access Your OSU Student Account
The first step to paying your OSU bill is accessing your student account to view the actual charges OSU provides an online student account management system called MyOSU,
To access your MyOSU account, go to myosu.oregonstate.edu and log in using your OSU username and password.
Once logged into MyOSU, click on the “Student” tab and select “Student Account” to view your billing statement. This will display any outstanding balance for tuition, fees, housing, meal plans, and other applicable charges.
From your Student Account, you can download a PDF of your full billing statement. Be sure to review all current term charges so you know the total due when preparing to make a payment.
Pay OSU Bill Online
The fastest and most convenient way for most students and parents is paying their OSU bill online. Online payments can be made directly through your MyOSU account.
From the Student Account page, click on “Make Payment” to be directed to the OSU payment portal. You can then select a saved payment method or enter a new one.
Accepted online payment methods include debit cards, credit cards, checking/savings accounts, international credit cards, and Beav Cards. Payments made before 5pm on a business day will be posted to your student account the next business day.
Pay OSU Bill by Mail
If you prefer to pay bills by mail, you have the option to send your OSU payment to the following address:
OSU Student Accounts Receivable
104 Kerr Administration Building
Corvallis, OR 97331
Make sure to include your OSU student ID number on any checks or money orders sent by mail. Allow 7-10 business days for mailed payments to be received and processed by OSU before expecting them to appear as credits on your student account.
Pay in Person at OSU
For in-person bill payment, you can visit the OSU Student Accounts window located on the first floor of Kerr Administration Building. They accept cash, checks, money orders and traveler’s checks as in-person payment options.
The Student Accounts window is open Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm, excluding university holidays. Bring a copy of your statement and photo ID for an in-person OSU bill payment.
Setup Recurring Payments
OSU offers automatic recurring payments to simplify the process of paying your bill each term. This securely stores your payment information to automatically charge each billing cycle.
To start recurring payments, login to your Student Account through MyOSU. Under the AutoPay section, choose the payment method, frequency, and payment date to setup your automated payments.
With AutoPay, you don’t have to manually pay each billing cycle. The system will automatically charge your saved payment method based on the schedule you configure.
Avoid Late Payment Fees
OSU charges a late fee of $50 per month if the total term balance is not paid by the established due date each term. Setting up AutoPay is the easiest way to avoid late fees since payments process automatically.
You can also avoid fees by carefully noting due dates for each term and manually processing your payment online, by mail or in person before the deadline. Don’t delay paying your OSU bill as soon as charges generate each term.
Payment Plan Options
If you are unable to pay your full OSU balance by the due date, you may be eligible for a payment plan. Payment plans allow you to spread out your balance over multiple scheduled installments.
To apply for an OSU payment plan, contact the Student Accounts office at 800-237-6503 or [email protected]. Explain your situation and request a payment plan application. If approved, you can then setup installment payment schedules.

Financial Aid Refunds
Students are eligible to receive a financial aid refund when their financial aid/scholarships exceed the allowable charges their student account. We say allowable charges because federal financial aid funds are restricted in what they can cover. Federal financial aid can only be applied directly to what are termed as “institutional charges”. This includes items such as tuition/fees and on campus housing charges. Other items such as parking permits, printing charges etc. cannot be paid directly by federal financial aid funds. Even if a student receives a financial aid refund they should still be checking their student account and monthly eBill statements as they still may owe a balance on their student account.
Students who have enrolled in Direct Deposit, and are eligible for a refund, will receive their refund electronically on the first day of the term during fall, winter, and spring. If students are not enrolled in direct deposit, a paper check will be mailed on the first day of fall, winter, and spring terms to their current mailing address. During summer term, Financial Aid will not be released until July 1st.
Direct Deposit: The preferred method of refund processing is electronically by direct deposit. Direct deposit is the electronic transfer of funds into a checking or savings account. It is the safest and most efficient way to receive a refund.
After enrolling in direct deposit, students must update their direct deposit enrollment information whenever their banking information changes.
Students can sign up for Direct Deposit online through MyOSU or download the Direct Deposit Authorization Form to be returned to the Financial Aid Office or the Cashiers Office.
Paper Check: If not enrolled in direct deposit, a check is mailed to the students Current Mailing address. This address can be changed at MyOSU.
For more information, please see the Financial Aid Refund Policy.
A hold prevents students from accessing a university service such as registration. An action is required by the student to have the hold released. There are many departments across campus that are able to apply a hold on certain services, and the OSU Student Account Services participates in that program. Holds will be placed on registration if a students OSU student account is past due or delinquent.
To View Holds: Log onto my.oregonstate.edu. Any holds placed on your account will be visible on this screen. Contact information for the department issuing the hold will be listed next to the hold type. Please note: Not all holds placed on student records/registration originate from the Business Affairs Office.

OSU policy requires that currently enrolled students pay their account balances down to at least $500.00, and outstanding charges are from the current term before they can register for the next term. A registration hold generally exists because their student account exceeds $500.00.
If you have a BR registration hold, you need to pay the amount listed in the box on the same line as the BR hold or enter an OSU payment plan at mybill.oregonstate.edu. This is the amount necessary to be paid to meet the registration hold criteria and allow registration for a future term.
Students who are not registered for a term other than summer, must have their entire balance paid in full before they are able to register for subsequent terms.
