If managed correctly, it is a great environment to work in. the guests are fun and my mangers and a few directors are so amazing. but its debilitating when your so exausted all the time .
Working 10 hours a day, five days a week, with shifts from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m. means you’re exhausted when you get home and have to go straight to sleep because you have to be back at work at 4 a.m. Other things are the same in that you don’t have any time for yourself. the 2 days off are basically spent sleeping to recharge your body. There is NO quality of life. My girlfriend broke up with me because I couldn’t give our relationship any quality time. Typical company that pays well but sucks every ounce of life from your motivation.
I think the stress of this job will give me a heart attack, giving me a week or two off to rest, do laundry, clean my house, and have guests over. My Christmas was spent working with a very upset angry family. So yes , the onset of heart disease if my current favorite perk.
