Every other weekend plus 2 holidays (1 summer, 1 winter)

How long does it take to get hired from start to finish at Patient First? What are the steps along the way?

I applied online and got a call days later. Phone interview about a week or 2 later, followed up by an in-person interview with HR, then another interview the day after with the DMS nurse at the center and was offered the position that night. So in total, roughly a month. After getting the job, training took 2 months.

I know Patient First requires training for new hire MA’s. Do you get paid for that training?

Yes, all training is paid for. Regardless of what area you work for, you get paid that same amount per hour training for MA.

I just had my 2nd phone interview and was told they should be making a decision within the next wrk or so and I would be contacted with next steps if selected. Is this typical or if they are interested do they schedule your on-site interview on the call?

No..that is unusual but due to the Covid outbreak they might be handling hiring u that way

Long. There is an initial phone screen. Here HR will briefly go over things like your experience and availability. The next step is the second interview. The first one is more of a screening. (Due to COVID this step is done over zoom and not face to face). HR conducts this interview was well. Here they will go over more details about patient first and ask you detailed oriented questions about yourself such as where do you see yourself in 5 years. The final interview is done with the DMS which is also your manager of the center(also done via zoom). Situational questions are asked as well as a mini test such as how do you do a manual blood pressure. This is typically the last interview

It’s been roughly a week since my interview and I faxed all docs required after the interview was over. How long does the hiring process roughly take? I’ve been really anxious and was wondering if I would have to wait to be contaced by the HR again or someone soon. Should I give a call back?

    Describe a situation where you had to work with a difficult co-worker. How did you handle it?

    With this question, make sure you don’t throw anybody under the bus. You want to include the resolution, and, if possible what you learned from the situation.

    “I worked the night shift with a nurse who consistently showed up late for their shift. This would impact the whole team and put us behind. I took time to talk with the nurse and asked them if switching shifts would help them arrive to work on time. My co-worker said it would help them since the particular hour they were scheduled was difficult for them. We switched, and that solved the problem. I learned that taking initiative goes a long way.”
