We have several ways for you to pay your bill: we accept cash, check, money order, and Visa or MasterCard.

Nobody likes disruption of their electric service. Please be prompt with your payment each month. If your payment is delinquent and is not paid by the delinquent due date, we will be forced to disconnect your service, resulting in further service charges. Once disconnected, the current bill, past due bill, deposit (based on credit history), and collection fees must be paid before service will be restored.

If your check(s) is returned from the bank, there will be a fee and the service may be disconnected immediately.

TO PAY YOUR BILL ONLINE

Heartland REMC offers Online Bill Payment. You may choose to pay your bill online every month, or set-up recurring payments from your VISA or MASTERCARD. Once you have signed up for recurring payments, you will receive your statement each month with “RECURRING PAYMENT DO NOT PAY” across it. The recurring payment will be processed from your VISA or MASTERCARD on the due date except when the date falls on a holiday or weekend. The payment is then processed the next business day after the holiday or weekend.

Heartland REMC offers a Levelized Billing Plan to members who have been with us for 12 months or more based on a payment history review. The Plan calculates your monthly bill using a rolling 12-month average of your electricity usage, which helps smooth out seasonal fluctuations.

  • Your bill may vary slightly from month to month, but the fluctuations will be minimal and help balance your costs throughout the year.

The Levelized Billing Plan is designed to provide more predictable bills during both high-usage months (like hot summers and cold winters) and off-peak months so you can better manage your household budget.

TO PAY YOUR BILL IN PERSON OR BY MAIL

You may pay your bill at our office during regular business hours (7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) at 350 Wedcor Avenue in Wabash or 4563 E Markle Rd. in Markle (located on US 224, West of I-69).

You may also drop off your payment before or after hours at the night deposit box outside our offices.

How do I pay my REMC Bill?

Bills may be paid at any REMC office by check, cash, money order. Outside payment boxes are available at each office for your convenience in making payments after office hours. You may also make your payments by MASTERCARD, VISA, DISCOVER, AMERICAN EXPRESS credit cards, or bank debit cards payments which can be made in person or by telephone.

How much is a REMC service charge?

A service charge of $25.00 will be added to the electric service account for any payment returned by the bank, and service is subject to disconnection at that time. Personal checks cannot be accepted by REMC representatives who make a trip to collect for non-payment of electric service accounts, or any other amounts due REMC.

Where can I pay my northeastern REMC Bill?

Members can pay their Northeastern REMC bill at most Walmart and Kroger stores in the country. Cash or debit cards (no credit cards or personal checks) will be accepted at their customer service desks. Walmart will add an 88 cent service charge to the bill. Payments should be made three business days prior to due date.

What is REMC’s member portal?

REMC’s Member Portal is a tool which enables you to: view your usage, view your bill, set up Auto-Pay, sign up for E-Bill, pay online, sign up for high usage alerts, and make changes to your account. Click on the Member Services Portal on REMC’s homepage, there you will find instructions on how to create a User ID and password.
