Sam’s Club Employee: At Sam’s Club, I was a cart pusher, and I pushed shopping carts.
Interviewer: What was the work environment like?
Sam’s Club Employee: I didn’t deal with customers too often, but I was mostly outside, so it was outside weather conditions. Then inside, I’d say, there wasn’t a lot of communication. Maybe every so often, a manager would say, “Hey, go get some carts.” But other than that, not a lot of interaction with the manager and cart pusher.
Interviewer: What was your favorite part about working there?
Sam’s Club Employee: Being outside and the benefits were pretty decent for what the job entailed. I believe there was full medical, maybe. Perhaps… I forget, it’s been a while. I apologize. Definitely health and dental insurance. There were stock options. I was able to take the money that I earned, and put it towards company stock. There was vacation pay, I believe, yearly. I can’t think of anything else.
Interviewer: How would you describe the application and interview process?
Sam’s Club Employee: The application process was online. They had a kiosk you would go to and fill out. The interview process was rather quick. It’s your basic straightforward questions, like what you see yourself doing in such amount of time, how you can help the company.
Interviewer: What questions did the interviewer ask during the job interview?
Sam’s Club Employee: Pretty much when I was available to work. And I think they wanted to know if I could lift 50 pounds, too. Pretty much just if I’m capable of doing the job. If I could be capable of showing up to the job, as well.
Interviewer: What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?
Sam’s Club Employee: Be clear about what job you’re applying for.

They called me in to interview at thr store, super unprofessional. I overhead a woman tell the assistant manager, that I had arrived and manager responded that this interview wouldn’t be taking long. The woman and assistant manager both interviewed me, they pulled up chairs in the middle of a hallway where employees were walking back and forth and the assistant manager was on his cell phone the entire time watching tik tok, he asked one question at the end and then went back to his phone.
