You can also call the Stop & Stor corporate office at 718-898-8000 and they can assist you with making a payment.
Paying In Person
Visit the Stop & Stor facility where your unit is located. Let the manager know you are there to pay your storage bill.
They accept cash, checks, credit/debit cards and money orders for in-person payments. Payments made at the facility are applied same day to your account.
Get a receipt for any cash payments. Keep your receipts until the payment shows up on your account ledger.
Pay at the Kiosk
Many Stop & Stor locations have self-serve kiosks that allow you to pay your bill on-site 24/7.
Swipe your credit/debit card or input cash at the kiosk to make a payment. Kiosk payments are applied instantly.
Payment Deadlines
Stop & Stor bills monthly for storage rentals. Payment is due on the 1st of each month.
If payment is not received within 10 days of the due date, a late fee is charged. Late fees vary but are typically $10-20.
For units 30 days past due, the contents may be auctioned. Pay on time to avoid fees and auction.
Payment History and Receipts
You can view your full payment history and print receipts by logging into your Stop & Stor online account. Keep these for your records.
Payment receipts contain important details like:
- Date payment was made
- Account number
- Amount paid
- Payment method
- Facility address
If you notice any discrepancies in your payment history, contact Stop & Stor immediately.
Changing Billing Date or Due Date
The billing date is based on when you started your rental agreement. The due date is the 1st of each month.
In some cases, Stop & Stor may allow you to change your billing date and due date. Reasons may include:
- Get paid every 2 weeks and need due date to align with paydays
- Social security/benefit payments received at beginning of month
- Rental anniversary date changed after a rate special
Ask your storage facility manager about the possibility of adjusting your billing and due dates. Not all facilities can accommodate date changes.
Difficulties Paying Your Bill?
If you are having issues paying your storage bill, talk to the facility manager right away, before your account becomes delinquent. Options may include:
- Downsizing to a smaller, more affordable unit
- Applying a discount like the student or military discount
- Utilizing the referral program to earn $50 off
- Discussing payment plan options
Communication is key. Stop & Stor does not want to see renters lose their possessions due to an inability to pay. Reach out early to discuss your situation.
Paying your Stop & Stor storage bill is fast and simple through their online portal or on-site kiosk. But you can also easily pay in person or over the phone. Keep your account in good standing by paying on time each month.
