Full Time MBA Application Workshop – Interviews
Your interview with UNC Kenan-Flagler
Note: We have temporarily cancelled all in-person events and transitioned many to an online webinar format, including admission interviews, which will be held via Skype or videoconference.
The admissions interview helps us get to know you and is an important and required part of our holistic application review process. The interview also helps you get to know us and gives you an excellent opportunity to learn more about our program, culture, and student experience.
Your interview will be conducted by a member of the Admissions Team who will have access your résumé, but not your full application. Most interviews last about 30 minutes and typically have a conversational tone.
Select candidates will be invited to interview by the admissions committee after submitting a complete MBA application. Applicants who are invited to interview will be able to do so in-person or virtually. The admissions committee does not have a preference on which interview format you choose.
Invitations are extended to selected candidates via e-mail. Those invited to interview will receive specific instructions for how to schedule an interview on campus or via webcam.
There isn’t a specific interview notification date. You may receive an invitation to interview via e-mail at any time after you submit your application, up until the day of the admissions decision release. For more information, review our requirements and deadlines.
If you don’t receive an invitation to interview by the decision release date, your admissions decision will be either “deny” or “waitlist.” If you accept a waitlist offer and have not been interviewed, you’ll be invited to do so prior to the next round’s decision release date (or after the Round 4 decision release date for Round 4 applicants).
Who will interview you?
You will interview with a member of the admissions committee.
For the foreseeable future, all interviews will be held online. After being invited to interview, you will be given further instructions on how to schedule your interview.
