Alliant Energy offers a pay-by-phone system that’s available 24/7 for your convenience. To use it, dial 1-800-255-4268 and select the “Pay by Phone” option. The automated system will guide you through the payment process.

You’ll need to enter your 10-digit account number and 4-digit PIN when prompted. Keep your latest bill handy because your PIN is usually printed on it. The system accepts payments from debit cards, credit cards, and checking or savings accounts.

The phone payment process only takes about 5 minutes. I like using it for those months when I forget to pay online. The automated system is quick and redirects you to a live agent if you need additional help.

Pay by Mail

For ultimate convenience, enroll in Auto Pay to have your Alliant Energy bill paid automatically each month. Payments can be drafted from your checking or savings account, or charged to a credit or debit card.
