Interview Questions

  • Tell me about a time when you had to perform a task with little guidance. How did you learn the product?

Example: “I think it’s very important to comply with the AHA guidelines because they’re based on research and provide best practices for performing echocardiograms. I would start by reviewing the most recent guidelines published by the AHA. Then, I would hold a meeting with my team to discuss the changes we need to make to our procedures. We can then develop an action plan for making these changes.”

Example: “The most challenging part of being an echocardiographer is when patients are experiencing anxiety or pain during their procedure. I always try to make sure my patients feel comfortable before, during and after the exam so they know I am there for them. If they’re nervous, I will explain everything we’re doing and why. If they’re in pain, I’ll do whatever I can to make them more comfortable.”

Example: “When I first started working as an echocardiographer, I had the opportunity to work with a patient who had experienced a heart attack. The patient’s family members were all in the room during the procedure, so I made sure to speak slowly and clearly while explaining what we were seeing on the monitor. I also tried to use analogies or metaphors whenever possible to make things easier to understand.”

Example: “I am very familiar with the latest ultrasound imaging technology. I was trained on the newest equipment when I graduated from my program. Since then, I’ve used many different types of machines and learned more about them through continuing education courses. I find that each machine has its own unique benefits, so I try to use a variety of machines depending on the patient’s needs.”

Example: “If I was unable to get clear s of a patient’s heart during an exam, I would first ask them if they had any recent changes in their health or medications. If not, I would then check my equipment for any issues. If everything checked out, I would repeat the exam with the same parameters. If I still could not get clear s, I would consult with my supervisor to determine what other factors may be contributing to the issue. After repeating the exam again, I would review the s carefully to ensure there were no abnormalities.”

Bad Answer: They dont know much about the company. If a candidate is serious and enthusiastic, they should have done some basic research. Good answer: An answer that shows theyve really done their homework and know what the company does, any important current events that involve the company, and the work culture.

Being unfamiliar with the organisation will spoil your chances with 75% of interviewers, according to one survey, so take this chance to show you have done your preparation and know the company inside and out. You will now have the chance to demonstrate that youve done your research, so reply mentioning all the positive things you have found out about the organisation and its sector etc. This means youll have an enjoyable work environment and stability of employment etc – everything that brings out the best in you.

You could discuss the companys vision, culture and solutions/services as reasons for wanting to join it.

Identify the strengths of your team members and their availability based on the priorities they have on their plate. From there, invest the tasks upon each member based on where you think youll get the best return.

INTERVIEWER: We want to increase sales of the Amazon Echo and the orders of products and services from Amazon.

INTERVIEWEE: Just to be clear, the new features are just for the Amazon Echo and not for other voice-controlled assistant devices like the Amazon Dot, Amazon Show nor Amazon Look?

Now, I want to brainstorm a solution for the elderly that have short-term memory loss or dementia, such as Alzheimer’s. In my use case example, a mother forgets that her daughter went grocery shopping. Picture a daughter saying, “Mom, I going to the store and will be back in one hour.” The daughter leaves. Some time goes by, and the mother calls out for her daughter, but there is no response. The mother has forgotten that her daughter is at the store and begins to worry. In this type of situation, the daughter’s name could be an invocation name. When the daughter’s name is called out, Alexa wakes with the response, “Mary is at the store and will be back by 3:00 PM. Would you like me to call her?” This solution would require the Echo skill to learn who the family members are, their relationships, their phone numbers, and track their locations through their smartphones. It would be useful to have voice identification so that the individual with Alzheimer’s doesn’t need to use “Alexa” as the wake word. Alexa could identify the person with dementia and would know what to say to this person. An Echo skill could be developed by Amazon or a third party to provide this kind of service.
