The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Georgia State University
HR team was not flexible at all in finding a time to interview, it was very much presented as I either interview at a specific time or they will move on with my application. Then after moving around my work schedule, preparing and giving a presentation, preparing a written assessment, and interviewing with the team several times I received very little follow-up from the HR team.

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Atlanta, GA
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Georgia State University (Atlanta, GA) in Jul 2022
The interview process consisted of one pre-screener interview via zoom, and one panel interview with 4 participants. The hiring team sent over the confirmation for my interview with less than 12 hours to prepare, and the interview needed a 10 minute presentation. I had to do the panel interview process twice, and the entire process took 3 months from start to finish. Some applicants had writing samples required, and some had to write narrative briefs with data analysis of an incomplete data set. The rejection was via automated email from the HR system. The interview process has apparently improved from what it used to be, but for the pay range, this level of rigor is ridiculous. If youre going to require this much of interviewees, they at least deserve ample notice of what is required. Its not a tenure tract professor position, so the interview process felt like far too much for that the position was. The whole process was hectic and felt disrespectful of applicants time.

They used the STAR method of interviewing. It is relatively laid back depending on the interviewer, and you have a choice to pick what questions work better for you at times.

I interviewed at Georgia State University
Very relaxed and business casual. The interviewer was very interested and inquired a lot about how my previous experience fit into the department model I would be joining. I left with a sense that I connected with the panel and department.

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Georgia State University
Very cut and dry interview process. When I worked there, I interviewed for several different positions internally and have found that each time, the same interview questions were used, even those not relevent to position at hand. The interview felt rushed and the hiring committee had a cold demeanor.
