The interview process was fairly simple. I applied online. I was then called by one of the managers, the one who deals with interviews and hiring there. I will call him “A.” A asked me some questions, like what my availability was, and typical things likes that. He then gave me a time and date to come in for my in-person interview. I wrote it down and I know for a fact that I had it correct. I double-checked. I prepared myself. I dressed nice and everything. I went in and asked for A (which is what he told me to do upon my arrival). I was told to sit down and that the lady would go get him. I sat and waited… and waited. Because of the layout of the store, I could seen the lady and a bunch of other employees scurrying around. She spoke to someone who looked confused and then he disappeared and the process sort of continued. I could tell something was not right. Then a man, “J,” came out to speak to me. J was one of the other managers and he told me that A had just left and didn’t have any more interviews for the day. I exlpained respectfully that I know this the the date/time I was given by A, and I can guarantee I did not mess up. J believed me and was sorry that this happened. He made sure that it was A who I spoke with, and that he was the one who made the appointment. I told him yes. J took notes and took down my contact info. He told me he would talk to A and do his best to fix whatever happened but that he couldn’t guarantee I would get an interview slot again because Krispy Kreme’s policy states that if you miss your interview, you do not get another chance. I was a bit upset because I didn’t miss it. I am sat right there. I alos want to mention that my name wasn’t in the records for another time slot or date either. It was like A called me then just never wrote it down. And that is not my fault! J apologized and told me to expect a call back, if not from A, from himself. But I never got a call. To this day, I have gotten zero calls back about this so I just gave up. I really need a job, but this was so severely unprofessional that it made me angry. Plus, what kind of policy is that? That it could still apply to me who did NOT miss their interview but was just like ghosted? How is that fair? I didn’t miss my interview, yet J told me he could not guarantee that I could have another! Make it make sense. Everything happens for a reason, I guess. I probably escaped a great deal of frustration I’d have encountered there.
