one direction interview questions

Jimmy Kimmel Asks One Direction “Who is Most Likely To…?”

STYLES: The thing with this album was it was so quick; we had so little time. We recorded everything in about a month, and it was at the point where we couldnt waste time doing songs if we didnt like them and didnt think they were going to [go anywhere]. It would just be a waste of two days to be in the studio recording stuff that we didnt feel was strong enough.

HORAN: They kind of told us that we were too good to let go, so theyd just put us in a group. But it was the best thing to happen to all of us. Now that we understand how groups work, I dont think that any of us would ever go back.

The five singers of the boy band One Direction are living the dream. Last year, they became the first British band to ever have their first album debut at No. 1 on the Billboard charts — that tops even the Beatles. Last week, their second album, Take Me Home, went platinum, and they played two sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden.

HORAN: I think they prefer to go to all the TV shows that we do. Early in the year, we did the Today show in New York and my mom came out. They all came out for Madison Square Garden. They like to come along to the big things. I dont think theyd all like to be sleeping on a tour bus.

STYLES: I think it is important that we kind of keep our heads screwed on and keep looking forward. If were always looking at when the ends gonna come, itll probably end up coming sooner. Were not going to enjoy it if thats how we look at this experience. To look at it as a ticking clock would be crazy.

So why are these questions a big no-no? Not because theyre scandalous or odd, but because theyre overused! The band is so used to answering the same questions that their fans have even spoken up about it, saying that they wish interviewers would ask something more original. We cant blame them at all. Wed hate to be asked the same questions over, and over, and over.

What do you think 1D fans? Do you think the guys were being a bit diva-like, or do you think the banning of the 12 questions was totally fair game? Let us know!

DJ Scott Rush, a morning show co-host on Ottawas The New Hot 88.9 radio station in Canada, was granted a 10 minute interview with 1D member Zayn Malik (were so jealous, btw) and just before he was to be connected with the band, their publicist jumped on the line and explained that there are some questions that must not be asked.

“They took it a mile further, which is why we did what we did. I could have done a full interview with Zayn and not touched on any of the banned subjects — I was certainly prepared-but come on,” continued Rush. “Sometimes you just have to say enough is enough.”

But Rush was so turned off by the ordeal, his interview lasted just a minute, pretending to russel through some papers trying to figure out questions to ask. And then of course he just had to talk, er, write about it. “I have never in my career experienced anything remotely close to this. Zayn is apparently dating a girl named Perrie from a girl-band in England. If I had been told not to ask about her because hes uncomfortable talking about it, that would have been fine,” he wrote.

Harry: People put stuff in our room, but we dont go there and tell them what we need. Basically, if you can get a cup of tea or a bottle of water its fine.

Louis: In week one of the X Factor, just to be a little bit quirky, I decided to say that I like girls who eat carrots. Ever since Ive had lots and lots and lots of carrots.

Here the band talk about fans bearing vegetables, creative merchandise and whether theyll write a “diary of naughtiness”.

The squeal is high-pitched and deafening but the five young men at the centre of this vortex of noise are unfazed. Since finishing third on last years X Factor, One Directions Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and Harry Styles have gone on to release “What Makes You Beautiful”, the fastest selling single of 2011, as well as their debut album Up All Night.

‘Who We Are’ Book Signing

This interview was essentially the lads talking amongst themselves and doing whatever they felt like until one of them remembered that there was the interviewer in the room asking them questions.

One Direction with James Corden doing Carpool Karaoke…. need we say more?

The lads did an interview with Nick Grimshaw ahead of a live lounge performance on BBC Radio 1. Harry was on vocal rest so had downloaded an app so it could speak for him. It resulted in a very funny interview.

From 2011, this interview was just the band at their chaotic best.

Ok so this one strictly isn’t an interview it’s all the iconic video diaries the band did while on the X-Factor, that made everyone fall in love with them all.

FAQ

Why did 1d break up interview?

For a little while, Zayn was the most successful member of One Direction, when looking at their solo careers, but now that honor goes to Harry Styles. After the boy band split, Styles tried something a little risky and began creating art that blends pop sensibilities with throwback sounds.

What is the salary of One Direction?

At the time, sources revealed that the reason One Direction had split was that they were “exhausted and wanted solo careers.” It came out that “They are taking a hiatus so they can work on individual projects for a while.” Liam, however, released that his time in the band was extremely toxic.
